- Linkwood Distillery Upgrade
This project was a complete overhaul of the distillery from a mechanical and control point of view. The control target was to replace the push button panels with a fully automated computer control system to perform all operations with the exception of making cuts during Distillation, which requires the skill of an experienced Still man.

- Kiln Loader Strippers
As part of a phased project over several years Au Automation were commissioned to integrate Kiln Loader/Strippers into the main control system and automate the operation replacing the local panel and pendant pushbutton operation at two of Diageo's largest malting sites.

- Still Collapse Mitigation
As part of a larger phased project into Still collapse mitigation across numerous distillery sites, Au were successful in winning a contract to provide a solution for the control issue of slow charging Stills.
Au designed, installed and commissioned a new flexible standalone panel with adaptable software to suit the needs of 11 of the distilleries. Others involved modification to existing control systems such as Allen-Bradley RSView/RSLogix5000 and Schneider Quantum with ProWorx.

Au Automation were asked to replace the existing control system with a new PLC and HMI and to add new and update some of the existing field instrumentation in conjunction with a mechanical overhaul of this effluent treatment site.

- Glenlossie DGP Case Study
Diageo Global Supply intended replacing the Control System at Glenlossie Dark Grains Plant.
Au Automation designed and installed a process control system for the automation of the Dryer, Evaporator, Pressed Draff system, Pelletisation, Tank Farm, Cooling Towers and ancillary plant (MVR Start-up, CIP, Scrubber) processes.

- Port Ellen Maltings Islay Case Study
A major upgrade to the existing control and monitoring system at Port Ellen Maltings.
This involved automation of the plant processes from Barley Intake to Malt Despatch, including Steeping, Germination, Kilning and Storage. The complete system was designed, installed and commissioned by Au Automation.
