Farewell to Brian
Brian Donaldson who has been our Business Development Manager for two and a half years is leaving us this month. We would like to thank him for his contribution to Au and wish him all the best in his future ventures. We will especially miss his presence in the office and attempts to expand our knowledge of pop culture with impromptu quizzes like "name the film this music came from"! Good luck and best wishes to you Brian!
Training in Progress
Nathan Coats (Au's 3rd apprentice) has completed his studies at the Training Centre and is now here in the office doing on the job training.
Au Welcomes New Engineer
Syed Ahmed joins us as a Process Control Engineer in the New Year 2012. We worked with Syed on a previous collaborative distillery upgrade project. He impressed us with his positive attitude and technical aptitude. We look forward to welcoming him into the team and getting to know him socially beforehand at the Au Christmas party.
3rd Apprentice Hired!
We are pleased to announce that Nathan Coats has become our third apprentice. He is following in the footsteps of Craig Duncan and Callum Haggerty (who has recently graduated).
Nathan will be studying at East Kilbride Training Centre and Motherwell College. Later through the process he will do "on the job" training here with us.
We are proud to be able to support him in his endeavour.
1st Apprentice Graduated.
We are proud to announce that Callum Haggerty completed his 4 year apprenticeship in April 2011 and now has the title of Process Control Engineer.
He has been awarded an SVQ3 in Engineering Maintenance that includes an HNC in Electrical Engineering undertaken at Motherwell College and The National Skills Academy Craft (Modern Apprenticeship) Pathway Certification.
As part of his apprenticeship Callum has already been involved in live projects and shown real dedication and an aptitude for all electrical and instrument work.
He is a valued member of our team and we look forward to seeing his career develop further.
